Following the sold-out drive in series from last year, we are proud to announce a new series that features some of the greatest minds in horror. Each of them will appear in person for a screening of their Masters of Horror episode followed by a Q&A and a screening of one of their feature films!  The 2009 IIG AWARDS
Hollywood Skeptics recognize the promotion of science in popular movies and televisionAwards to be given to Bill Maher, Amanda Peet, Joe Nickell, Lewis Black and The Mythbusters. The Independent Investigations Group (IIG), the premier paranormal investigations team on the West Coast, will present their 3rd Annual IIG Awards, recognizing the promotion of science in popular media. The IIG will also present awards to actress Amanda Peet for her pro-vaccine work, and to career paranormal expert Joe Nickell. Other honorees include The Mythbusters, Bill Maher's Religulous, and Lewis Black's The Root of All Evil. Celebrity presenters at the ceremony will include The Root of All Evil's Kathleen Madigan, The Aristocrats' Paul Provenza, Mystery Science Theater 3000's Frank Conniff, comedian Dana Gould and others yet to be announced. Also on hand will be representatives of the winning movies and shows, VIP guests, and Friends of the Center for Inquiry. |
